Holders of a Disability Card may request a personal Pisa Card free of charge for admission to participating museums and cultural venues.

The card is not issued automatically through the standard online purchase process. The request must be submitted through the dedicated MUSA support service for Pisa Card and is checked by PisaMo staff before the card is issued.

Validity of the free card

The validity period depends on the card holder’s registered residence:

- 7 days for people who are not registered residents of the Municipality of Pisa;

- 365 days for registered residents of the Municipality of Pisa.

The free card is personal and is issued to the Disability Card holder.

How to submit a request

To request the card:

1. access the dedicated MUSA support service for Pisa Card;

2. open a new request and provide the card holder’s details;

3. provide the information requested to allow the Disability Card to be checked;

4. when requesting the 365-day version, also provide the information required to verify registered residence in the Municipality of Pisa;

5. wait for confirmation from PisaMo staff.

Submitting a request does not result in the immediate issue of a card. PisaMo issues the Pisa Card only after the eligibility requirements have been checked.

Receiving the Pisa Card

Once the request has been approved, the Pisa Card is sent to the email address provided.

The message includes a complete, formatted PDF card showing:

- the card holder’s name;

- the validity period;

- the identification code;

- the QR code to be presented at museum entrances.

No online payment is required.

Using the card at museums

At the entrance, simply present the QR code received by email. The card is checked and used in the same way as other Pisa Cards.

The PDF contains only the information required to validate the card and does not display the reason why it was issued free of charge.
